I have had a faulty 400D, this is what I would write:
...I am writing to report a problem with my new Canon EOS 400D that I bought from TES in Springfield(, state) on Septemer 15, 2015.
When the camera arrived, everything worked correctly, but now when its being used for longer than half an hour, it starts to lag and the photos are black and white (/have distorted colors - mine started to overheat and would only work for a couple of minutes before failing again and taking shots like the one attached to this post). I have to turn it off, wait a few minutes, and then turn it on again (mine had to be placed in a fridge and cooled down for about 20 minutes). After that, I can shoot for another half an hour before the problem reappears.
I am enclosing the DSLR and the receipt. I would like to have the camera repaired or replaced.
