According to information given by the directors in interviews, the bundle contains teeth, blood and hair. Rumours have suggested that the bundle also contains a tongue but the directors have denied this, in addition to a (false) rumour of there being a "D&D Spell", one which allows a person to imitate their victims voice after cutting out their tongue. There has also been speculation that the bundle contained Joshs intestines, but considering the volume that an intestinal tract would occupy the bundle would have been several cubic feet in size (watching the film, youll notice Heather picking it up with one hand.) At most, the bundle could only have held a tiny piece of an intestine. It is perhaps the Coffin Rock story told earlier in the film that has lead to this misperception.
